Europe's largest hose factory in Odry opened its doors to over 1,000 visitors to celebrate a special occasion: the 200th anniversary of Semperit and the 25th anniversary of the integration of Semperflex Optimit into the Semperit group. The open day not only offered insights into the production of hydraulic and industrial hoses, but also the opportunity to immerse oneself in the long history of the company and its importance for the Czech region. Michael Adelbauer, Director Operations of Semperit Industrial Applications, summed up the development of the plant: "Odry was a stroke of luck for Semperit. We have invested a lot and continuously improved production. Today it is our best-practice example in the hose sector."
Guests were able to experience the hoses in action in impressive machines such as the Tatra truck or the Kubota excavator. The factory tour was just as interesting as a skill competition for forklift drivers, in which our employees demonstrated their skills. Entertainment was provided by dance performances, a concert and an exciting program by the plant's firefighters.
In their speeches, Semperit CIO Gerfried Eder, Michael Adelbauer and plant manager Daniel Pazdirek emphasized the company's future prospects and its commitment as a reliable employer and partner in the region. The mayor of Odry, Libor Helis, and the head of the partner kindergarten, Katerina Žůrková, also emphasized the importance of Semperit for the economic and social development of the region as well as the close relationships that have been maintained for 25 years. Conclusion: Thanks to the commitment of employees, partners and the public, the Open Day 2024 in Odry was a success that will be remembered.
